The last Monday of May is traditionally Memorial Day, also associated with the three day weekend of summer's official start, but let's not forget why we have a Memorial Day.  It's not just about cranking up the barbecue grill or getting stuck in gridlock to spend a few precious hours on the beach -- take a moment to think about all the men and women who have sacrificed their lives, in service of their country. Not to be confused with Veteran's Day, which honors the service of all US military veterans, Memorial Day is a time of reflection for many, so if you have a moment, take some time to give thanks.
