On a recent flight from Washington State to Nevada, this Bird was taken by the Mood of the changing landscape, carved and molded by nature, painted by light and stained with time. Odd moments of human hands appeared with green circular agriculture standing out like eerie crop circles in dusky fields, but for the most part, it was a serene display of the landscape going from lush evergreen trees and snowy peaks to parched lands and sun-wrinkled vistas. It was a reminder of how small we are as individuals, but that our impact outweighs us many times over, leaving a distinctive trace.

Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop off like autumn leaves. -John Muir

The poetry of the earth is never dead. -John Keats

The sky is the daily bread of the eyes. - Ralph Waldo Emerson
